A MAGNET-POWERED INSTALLATION THAT TOLD THE STORY OF THE INTERNET

To announce the arrival of Google fiber’s 100x faster Internet, the usual product story would have been too small. Instead, we partnered with 1st Ave Machine to create a car-themed installation and accompanying launch film that told the larger story of Google fiber – how speed has altered the history of the Internet itself.

In the Broadband section of the sculpture, we depicted the advent of YouTube as a drive-in movie theater...

For production purposes, the YouTube video needed a name. and like that, the epic film: “High-Speed Hot Dog” was born. we shot and hid a teaser trailer for the fake movie online. After some questionable acting debuts and even more questionable puns, we dubbed the whole thing over in spanish.
